Weeding Bee run sheet

Volunteers to bring: Gardening gloves, tools, drink bottle (water), suitable clothing for the weather (hat, sunscreen, warm clothing, rainwear), hi-vis vest (if available), newspaper for weed mat (if available)

Organisers to bring: Gardening info, sustainability info (MEFL), sandwich board, witches hats, newspaper for weed mat, reference copy of nature strip guidelines, laminated pictures of key plants and weeds, hi-vis vests, kneeling pads, shovel, rake, broom

Host to provide: Cup of tea, water refills, newspaper for weed mat, shovel, rake & broom if available

Mulch to be either collected on the day or delivery organised


Light stretch to warm-up

Risk assessment – Are there any potential hazards? Check the set-up of equipment and movement of people

Weeding – 1 hour

Break for cup of tea and cake

Weeding – 30 mins
