Indigenous plants are fine to grow in pots in a sunny position. We recommend a pot of at least 30cm depth filled with good quality potting mix.
Plants that do well in a pot arrangement include:
- poa grass
- wallaby grass
- saltbushes – https://www.vinc.net.au/catalogue/ground-covers-climbers-twiners/atriplex-semibaccata , https://www.vinc.net.au/catalogue/ground-covers-climbers-twiners/einadia-nutans
These plants cope well with low water intake, but the roots should be cool. They will survive in shaded and semi-shaded positions but need sunny to semi-shaded aspect to flower and fruit well.
